土壌がアルカリっぽい？

ここ数年、自宅の植栽が、すごく葉の色がおかしい。

どちらかというと？黄緑っぽくなっており、

今までとは違うな。

と、去年（実際は2024年あたりから）は思っていただけだったのだが、

さすがに3年目も同じではやばいかも。

For the past few years, the leaves of the plants in my garden have been looking really strange.

They're more of a "yellowish-green" color,

and I thought, "This is different from before(many are looks green)."

That's what I thought last year (actually since around 2024),

but if it's still the same for the third year(this year), it might be a problem

... (risky?)

と、思うに至り、

一応土壌のph検査を、簡易的に行ってみました。

With that in mind from this yeeeeellow-greens,

I decided to do a simple soil pH test.

検査方法は適当で申し訳ないのですが、

熱帯魚用などで売っている水質検査キット。

リトマス試験紙みたいなもので、DIYショップの

熱帯魚用品等の売り場で売っているものを使用しています。

I am sorry for so easy testing method, and

I use a [water (ph)quality test kit] sold for tropical fish, etc.

... 

like a such [litmus paper] which is sold

 in [the tropical fish section of DIY shops].

土に直接は使えないので、土を採取し、水に溶かし、

その上澄み液のphを調べることで、簡易的なph検査としています。

But the test strips(stripes-paper) cannot be used directly on soil, 

a simple pH test is performed by 

>>> collecting soil, 

>>> the soil into water(normal for drink or for use to plants) in the bat.

>>> wait, after soil go dow the bottom in the water,

>>> inserting the strips into water, 

>>> and comparing attached color checking seet, then easy lighte checking the pH of the soil.

簡易検査の結果、その比較表によると、どうも、少しアルカリ性のようだった。

道理で酸性に近い肥料を与えると多少元気になるときがあったのか。

The results of the easier-ligher test, compairing to the check chart, indicated that the garden's soil was slightly little-alkaline side.

That why the plants seemed a little turned greener when in some case, given a fertilizer(portion for plants) that was [closer to acidic].

それと、土いじり=農作業等をした後、

手指の肌荒れがひどい時があったが、

どうもアルカリ性が少し強いせい？かもしれない。

Also, after doing, working with soil (farming, etc.),

the skin on my hands and fingers would sometimes get very rough(lots of little cracks).

Perhaps it's because the soil is [a little too alkaline]?

簡易的な検査なので、確定ではないですし、検査基準の表は、今回私が購入したキットに入っていたものと、あなたが購入して使用しているキットとは色が色々違う場合もあるので、この写真を信用しすぎないようにしてください。

実務者レベルの話なので、

部屋から出ない学者にはわからない簡単な英語で書いています。

and... Also, the color of the test chart may differ between the kit I purchased and the one which you're using, 

so please 

"don't rely(recommendation) too heavily" the result colors on this photo.
